Hikers' Club collects waste from Fewa Lake area

SATV, Kathmandu, Feb 10: The Hikers' Club Nepal, a network of hikers formed to promote tourist destinations in and around Pokhara, has led a sanitation event in the vicinity of Fewa Lake in Pokhara.

Club's Chairman Krishna Ranabhat said that the sanitation event was held along the Round Fewa route in the Raniban area.

The Club also organizes hiking events to promote the tourist destinations in the city under the theme of Round Fewa: View Fewa. 

Ranabhat said that the sanitation campaign was held as part of the Club's social responsibility adding that four sacks of plastic waste were collected during the hiking. 

The Club comprises a large number of members involved in different professions and businesses in Pokhara.  (RSS)
