Wolf warriors Team emerged victorious in the Huawei basketball tournament finals in Kathmandu on Monday, closing Second Huawei Cup Basketball Competition of the Chinese Enterprise Association in Nepal.
Second Huawei Cup Basketball Competition of the Chinese Enterprise Association in Nepal which made its opening on Tuesday competed its finals today. "Struggle bravely and strive for the vanguard, create brilliance together through thick and thin", read the theme of the competition which regards yearning for unity, cooperation and hard work.
Wolf Warriors Team won the first trophy while Belt and Road Pioneer Team and team Bureau South Asia Team respectively became the first and second runner up. Poly team won the fourth place in the game.
Wolf Warriors Team won with wide difference of 73-46 against Belt and Road Pioneer Team as they competed for the first position.
Wolf captain Chen Xu said, ''today's game is very exciting, both teams are pushed to the limit of physical strength, but our team was lucky to win the championship. This event organized by a Chinese association has created an opportunity for us to play sports, stimulate everyone's passion for basketball and make us have a better experience together''.
Poly Team and China Construction Seventh Bureau South Asia Team competed for the third position. Poly team seemed low at first but ended up giving a tough head to head competition to the winning team by gathering 66 points while China Construction had collected 70 points. China Construction won the competition with a thin difference of 4 points.
The game ended with prize distribution ceremony with a satisfaction, enthusiasm, energy, smiles and brotherhood among all the players. Huwaei distributed players with various digital devices and trophy to the team.
