Nepal was defeated by 238 runs in the match at Multan Cricket Stadium in Pakistan on Wednesday. Chasing the target of 343 runs given by Pakistan, Nepal managed to score only 104 runs in 23.4 overs.
For Nepal, Sompal Kami scored 28, Arif Sheikh scored 26, Gulsan Jha scored 13 runs. Other players could not even reach double figures.
For Pakistan, Shadab Khan took four wickets, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Harish Rauf took two each and Naseem Shah and Mohammad Nawaz took one wicket each.
Batting earlier, Pakistan scored 342 runs for the loss of 6. Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed scored centuries for Pakistan.
Captain Azam scored 151 runs off 131 balls. He hit 14 fours and four sixes. Similarly, Ahmed scored 109 runs off 71 balls. He hit 11 fours and four sixes.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan scored 44 runs, Fakhar Zaman scored 14 runs, Imam-ul-Haq and Agh Salman scored five runs each and Sadab Khan scored four runs.
For Nepal, Sompal Kami took two wickets, Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took one wicket each. Nepal will compete against India in the next match on August 18.
