The Sri Lankan cricket team will play three Test matches in England in 2024, according to the sources in the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) and was also confirmed by one of the top SLC (Sri Lanka Cricket) officials.
"Yes, we are committed to honour the schedule given by the ECB and accordingly will play three Test matches under the banner of the ICC's World Test Championship", the official said.
The ECB is scheduled to host the three Test matches respectively at Old Trafford, Lord's and Oval on August 21-25, Aug. 29-Sept.2 and Sept. 6-10.
During the next season, the ECB will also play three more Test matches (against West India) in July.
Apart from the red ball matches, the ECB will play seven T-20Is (four against Pakistan and three against Australia) and also five ODIs versus Australia.
Interestingly, Australia's two white ball bilateral series (ODIs, and T-20Is immediately after Sri Lanka's tour of England.
