International Fair on Bhrikutimandap Starting from today for Six Days

9th Nepal International Trade Fair 2023 (NITF) starting today from 30th Nov to 4th Dec, held its inaugural ceremony, in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The event is organised by Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) in cooperation with Government of Nepal Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Government of Nepal Trade and Export Presentation Center.

Nepal, Bangladesh, China, India and Pakistan are the countries that have participated in this international fair. The event is managed to be open from 10 am at morning to 5pm at evening. The fair includes materials from household utensils to big Nepali carpets, electronics, herbs, readymade clothings, make-up products and many more products that rejoices taste of varities of customers.

Total 210 stalls are stalled, including both national and international at Bhrikutimandap's fair. Nepal has total 60 stalls among it. There are total 170 international stalls among which it is 55Chinese, 35 Indian, 10 Bangladeshi and 10 Pakistani stalls were placed.Besides that, there are 40 shoewear stalls at the mouth of the exhibition hall.

Pakistani and Bangladesh stalls are from the traders in Nepal but the Indian and Chinese stalls are from traders of India and China brought by Indian Chamber of Commerce and China government for this special event. The Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Mr. Chen Song and Speaker of House of Representative of Nepal, Mr. Dev Raj Ghimire have observed the fair.

Chief guest, Speaker of house of representatives of Nepal, Mr. Dev Raj Ghimire assured, "The private sector is the pillar of the country's economic development. I am well aware of problems existed in private sector trade and traders. I insure you today that I will play all the important role in my hand as a parliamentary member and speaker".

Chandi Raj Dhakal, Vice- President SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry requested government to build a permanent and reliable exhibition hall for a better international fair next time instead of the tin and bamboo renovated common hall.

Sharad Bikram Rana, Executive Director of Trade and Export Promotion Center keeps light on our nation's law of banning on hemp agriculture while multiple nations around world are producing and trading varieties of clothes, bags and attires out of hemp.

Assistant director of FNCCI, Mr. Parshuram Nepal informed", at this critical hours of declining Nepal's economy condition and unstable political situation, this international trade fair is a great relief. Chinese Embassy has been a lot helpful from the first to this 9th edition of fair making a notable contribution to the event and hope to elevate this relation further more. FNCCI is aiming to represent SAARC and other European nations to include in this trade fair the next time we organise".
