SATV Kathmandu, January 23: In a philanthropic initiative to mark the Chinese New Year, the Chinese Entrepreneurs Association in Nepal, along with China Power, Com Service, and Himalayan Airlines, organized a donation and health camp at Prayas Nepal, a child care home for orphans in Kathmandu.
The association, in collaboration with other organizations, provided food supplies sufficient for nearly a year and donated NPR 600,000 to the institution, which houses 18 children.
A Chinese medical team was also invited for health check-ups and consultations. The team, comprising eight doctors and an interpreter, examined the children and offered necessary medical advice.
Speaking on the occasion, Mani Joshi, director of Prayas Nepal, expressed gratitude to the donors, emphasizing that the support would significantly aid in the care and nourishment of the children.
Zhao Yinyong, Chairman of Himalayan Airlines, lauded the efforts of Prayas Nepal in supporting orphaned and underprivileged children. He expressed happiness in contributing to their mission and assured that his organization would continue such initiatives in the future.
Prayas Nepal’s dedication to providing a brighter future for children left without guardians due to various circumstances was widely acknowledged and appreciated during the event.
