SATV 11 June, Kathmandu: All schools in Biratnagar will remain closed for three days due to excessive heat, the Biratnagar Metropolitan City announced on Tuesday.
Issuing a public notice, the metropolitan city stated that schools will remain shut from June 11 to June 13. The decision was taken given the health risks posed to students amid the soaring temperatures.
The city office has also advised schools to resume classes if weather conditions improve, such as if rainfall occurs or temperatures drop during this period, and to make necessary arrangements for teaching accordingly.
