Following a period of steadiness since last Thursday, the domestic gold market witnessed a decline of Rs 700 per tola on Monday.
The yellow metal, which had held its ground at Rs 119,500 per tola for the past four days, saw a dip to Rs 118,800 per tola today, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FeNeSiGoDA).
Similarly, the Standard gold, which had been trading at Rs 118,950 per tola, also experienced a drop to Rs 118,250 per tola on the same day.
Likewise, the silver price also experienced a decrease of Rs 5 per tola, settling at Rs 1,415 per tola on Monday.
It's worth noting that the gold price had surged to a record high of Rs 122,000 per tola in the domestic market on December 28.
