SATV, Kathmandu, Mar.05 -  journalist Birat Anupam released ‘Pahilo Aamnirwachan 2015’. The book contains detailed information about the first parliamentary election in Nepal’s history.

With the House of Representatives elections scheduled for today and the younger generation participating dynamically in the process, Anupam presented the book amid a sharp electoral upsurge.

“The generation that expresses no interest in Nepal’s politics is currently engaging in political debates and discussions. I believe this book will give them a comprehensive understanding of how democracy historically entered the country. The book will also present insights on what Nepal’s first election was like to those casting a vote for the first time,” said author Anupam.

Professor and author Jagat Nepal said that Anupam’s book on the first parliamentary election is an archive of Nepal’s first general election and will be helpful for those interested in Nepal’s history and democratic development.

He added that Anupam’s book brims with details about the political parties that participated in the 2015 elections. Along with the parties’ candidates, manifestos, constituencies, election results and election symbols. The book is published by Book Hill.
