(SATV) Kathmandu, August 18th: In order to increase the intensity of tourism promotion in Nepal and enhance the popularity and reputation of Nepal's tourism industry, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) hired the founder and president of South Asian Network Television (SATV), Mr. Hou Zhihong as the Honorary Public Relations Representative (HPRR) for China. Mr. Dhananjay Regmi, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board, issued a letter of appointment on August 17 at the Tourism Bureau.
Being the Honorary Public Relation Representative (HPRR) for China Mr. Hou is required to work closely with Nepalese embassies, consulates, tour operators, hoteliers, corporations, media, clubs, various agencies and associations to attract potential Chinese tourists to Nepal.
Mr. Hou presented the mascot of China tourism logo “Galloping Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow” to the CEO Mr. Dananjay Regmi.
Mr. Hou said that since the establishment of SATV three years ago, the company has launched the online portal in Chinese, English and Nepalese languages. In order to help Nepal's tourism sector, the tourism beat was launched this year. Mr. Hou said that he agrees to be responsible fulfilling his duties in his two year term official appointment. He added that he will use the media platform to fully cooperate with major Chinese media and Nepal Tourism Board to contribute in tourism promotion and publicity. Mr. Hou expresses, "Let Chinese friends know about Nepal, travel to Nepal and experience the colourful traditional culture and exotic customs of Nepal".
