At around 10:30 on the evening of the 21st local time, an explosion occurred in the parking lot of Serena Hotel in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan Province, Pakistan, at least 3 people were killed and injured 13 others.

After the explosion, several cars parked in the parking lot caught fire.

The inspector-general of the Balochistan Police Department stated that the hotel has been cordoned off and the anti-terrorism department has been deployed to investigate the incident.

The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment, two of them are in serious condition. The nature of the explosion has not yet been determined.
