The Election Commission (EC) is set to meet with the Bangladesh Army's principal staff to discuss army deployment during the upcoming 12th parliamentary election, scheduled for January 7.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal is expected to chair the meeting scheduled to take place at 7pm on Monday, according to media reports.
The meeting is set to place at the Election Commission headquarters.
Some 750,000 members of law and order forces will be deployed in the upcoming national polls.
The 12th parliamentary election is set to be held on January 7, as per the schedule announced by Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal on November 15.
