
SATV, Kathmandu, Feb 2 — Everest Summiteers Summit has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ms. Kabita Nepali, appointing her as the Public Relations (PR) Representative for the Everest Summiteers Summit 2026.
Earlier, Everest Alliance Nepal had announced the dates and vision of the Everest Summiteers Summit 2026 in a separate press meet, where the registration process for participants was also officially opened. Today’s press meet was organized to formally confirm this MoU, which is an important step to strengthen communication, outreach, and public engagement for the Summit.
The Everest Summiteers Summit 2026 will take place on 27 May 2026 in Kathmandu, on the occasion of International Everest Day.
Ms. Kabita Nepali successfully climbed Mount Everest on 18 May 2025. She is widely known for her inspiring journey that shows courage, discipline, and determination. Her appointment reflects Everest Alliance Nepal’s effort to work with reliable and inspiring individuals who represent mountaineering values and environmental responsibility.

Under this collaboration, Ms. NEPALI will:
• Represent Everest Alliance Nepal and the Everest Summiteers Summit at national and international platforms
• Support public relations and outreach activities
• Promote sustainable mountaineering, waste management, and mountain conservation
• Encourage responsible tourism and environmental awareness in the Himalayan region

Speaking at the event, representatives of Everest Alliance Nepal said that this partnership is more than a formal agreement. It shows a shared commitment to protect the Himalayas and promote responsible stories about mountain ecosystems.
The Everest Summiteers Summit is a global platform started by Everest Alliance Nepal. It brings together Everest climbers, policymakers, conservation organizations, industry leaders, diplomats, and international partners. The first Summit was held in 2025 at Soaltee Hotel, Kathmandu, with participation from 154 Everest summiteers from 12 countries, along with government officials, diplomats, conservation groups, and strong national and international media presence.
The 2026 Summit aims to further discuss important issues such as climate change, sustainable tourism, waste management, and mountain conservation, highlighting Nepal’s leadership in global mountain discussions.
