Nepal Thousand People Trekking Conference co-sponsored by Shengtu Sports and Nepal Overseas Chinese Association has been successfully held in the evening of April 13th, Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu to make an official welcome to the group of 180 members Chinese hikers who landed Nepal on 13th april 2023.
The purpose of this event is to open a new chapter in development of sports culture between China and Nepal and bring new vitality to the cooperation and exchanges between the two countries at the economic and cultural levels. Chinese embassy in Nepal, Nepal tourism board, Economic Bureau of Nepal, Overseas Chinese association, Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents, Trekking Agency Association of Nepal, Nepal Mountaineering Association all collaboratively worked on the project to make it a success.
Mr. Li Zhaojian, general manager of Shengtu Sports informed, “The hiking route is ABC Small Loop and it will last for one month. Thousand of Chinese outdoor trekkers will travel to Nepal by four chartered flights to participate this activity”. Mr.Li hopes that more Chinese trekkers will visit Nepal because the development of outdoor games is vigorous in China.
The group will witness the beauty of the world class hiking trail, the poon Mountain Loop. Then the group will reach the summit of the poon Mountain View platform experiencing the stunning scenery physically and mentally along the whole way.During the conference, South Asian Network Television interviewed Ms. Sun Yan, a hiking enthusiast from Nanjing, who expressed her gratitude for the reception ceremony at the airport this morning. Li Peixin, general manager of Beijing's Shengtu Sports Relations Department, said Nepal is first hiking route to be held in the foreign country for the first time in three years.
While the organizers and other units prepared for this event for four months long, the very passionate group of trekkers ready to takeover the challenges in the ABC attended the event with great enthusiasm.
