Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader on Tuesday said that the visa policy imposed by the United States will be helpful for fair elections in Bangladesh.

"What is said in the visa policy goes in favor of the country and the people, not against it,” said the JaPa leader while responding to reporters before participating as chief guest in the Sherpur District Jatiya Party's biennial conference at circuit house in the district town.

Regarding the visa policy of the United States, GM Quader also said: "We fully support the visa policy of the United States. They expect fair and neutral elections in Bangladesh. They have decided on the internal affairs of their country on visa policy.”

Regarding participating in the upcoming elections, he said: "Everyone wants a free and fair election. I have not received any proposals on polls-time government yet. But we are working for the welfare of the people of the country. We will make a decision politically  after discussing how to conduct the next election.”
