Kathmandu, Jan 27(SATV): Honourable Mr. Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs stated China's support in building critical infrastructure has been instrumental in propelling Nepal towards economic growth and stability, in a Silk Road Youth Forum: South Asia Cooperation Conference which was held in 27 Jan, Saturday organised by Silk Road International Think Thank Exchange Center and World Sinology Center, Beijing Language and Culture University.
Mr. Shrestha speaking to the event further added, the Silk Road Youth Forum: South Asia Cooperation Conference facilitating the movement of students between Nepal and China has opened up new avenues of collaboration and opportunities. The intellectual exchanges between young minds is the sowing of seeds for future shared goals and prosperity.
He adds, "the friendships forged during these exchanges can evolve into lifelong connections, fostering a network of collaboration that transcends national boundaries".
Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, Mr. Xie Yu, expressed "realising the Chinese Dream and the Dream of Prosperous Nepal are two historical relay races. The young people of both countries should continuously surpass their predecessors and strive to be the first in the race to achieve national rejuvenation".
Vice president and General Secretary of the Silk Road Youth Forum, Mr. Yang Dongping highlighted the "Silk Road Famous City Promotion" series of activities which will actively invite the heads of the relevant governments and institutions of cities along the "Belt and Road Initiative" to publicize the characteristics and charm of cities around the city, enhance exchanges and cooperation between cities and show the beauty of the city.
Deputy Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, Mr. Bijay Krishna Shrestha represented Thimi Municipality in the event announcing to protect and promote the old traditional settlement and society of Bhaktapur through varieties of their undergoing plans and projects. He expected this forum to equally be helpful for their development even though Kathmandu and silk road aren't directly connected.
Mr. Matrika Poudyal, Spokesperson of the Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal allocated that Silk Road Youth Forum serves as a dynamic platform where young minds from diverse backgrounds converge to deliberate on the challenges and opportunities that bind south Asian nations together.
Mr. Poudyal focuses on the interconnectedness of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by Silk Road that emphasise on progress in one area is contingent on advancement with others.
Ms. Hou Shixin, Chief Expert and Researcher of the Sichuan Museum in China, enlightens the audience with emergence of different types of Silk road in different point of time among different dynasties. She projects archeological evidences and describes how archeological unfolds develops the relation of Nepal-China in the world platform.
Tshering Dorji, a Bhutanese artist warms the atmosphere by performing Nepalese, Chinese and Bhutanese musics trying to show unity in differences. He highlighted how the Youth Conference is one of the few organisations that thrives and brings co-operation to make a better place for all of us to live.
In the program, Jawaharlal Nehru University Professor Tsetan Namgyal, Bhutanese Artist Tshering Dorji, Secretary of Nepal China Cultural and Educational Council Dilip Acharya, Aneka Rajbhandari of Araniko Project Nepal and others discussed how billions of factors connect Nepal and China together which shadows few respectful differences that distinguishes us to our own identity.
